A first class is exciting and a little nerve-racking — for kids and parents. Here's what it usually looks like.

Arrive a few minutes early. Your child should wear comfortable athletic clothes and bring water. No uniform or experience is needed.
Warm-up
Classes start with a bow and a fun warm-up to get everyone moving.
Learning basics
Instructors teach a few simple skills like a stance, a block or a kick, with lots of encouragement.
Games and drills
Kids practice skills through games, so learning feels like play.
